Specialist orthopedic care at Orthopedic Care Clinics may be covered by your Dutch health insurance, depending on the treatment and your policy.
For eligible insured care, our billing arrangement means you pay no additional charges beyond your deductible (eigen risico).
If we do not have a contract with your insurer, we use our published rates for non-contracted care.
If your insurer reimburses only part of the invoice, we cover the remaining amount for eligible insured care under our billing arrangement.
Your health insurance deductible remains your responsibility.
Which Treatments Are Covered?
Your health insurance policy determines which treatments are covered. Coverage and reimbursement can vary between insurers and policies. Contact your insurer if you have questions about your specific treatment.
For specialist orthopedic care to be reimbursed, you generally need a valid referral from your GP, another medical specialist or an occupational physician, depending on your policy. If you attend an initial consultation without a valid referral, you may have to pay for it yourself.
How Billing Works
- You receive an invoice from Infomedics.
- You submit the invoice to your health insurer.
- Your insurer reimburses all or part of the eligible costs to you.
- You pay Infomedics using the reimbursement you received, plus any deductible you owe.
- You email us your insurer’s reimbursement statement.
- For eligible insured care, we cover the remaining amount under our billing arrangement.
